water question

ok i have a 5 gallon jug from cullegan that fits on a water dispenser. If i fill it with tap water and drop a campden tablet crushed in there and leave the lid on it that has a small hold in it, will my water be ok the next day? Also to replace boil off after using the 5 gallon would it hurt to using bottled water?

Bottled water works fine, a lot of people use it only for brewing with no tap water

I wouldn't want to leave the water over a day like that, but I'm probably just being too anal.
Again, it might be a good idea to sanitize the opening to the bottled water you're gonna use before pouring it....just in case!

What type of plastic is that water bottle? The ones we have here (from Polar) are type 7, and are recommended for water only. The SO2 from the campden tab will change the pH of the water possibly leaching chemicals out of the bottle.
