Water dehydrator

I think I'm gunna invent a water dehydrator. You could transport 100 gallons of dehydrated water in a bag in your pocket and then after rehydrating it you have pure water right there!

My first step for this DIY project is finding out if dry water is stable...

This is brilliant! Think of the transportation costs that will be saved when transporting water to all those thirsty farmers in the desert!

How do you plan to solve the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide that will surely be a byproduct of the dehydration process? Did you know that dihydrogen monoxide is used as an industrial coolant? It is found in all biopsied cancerous tumors, it is fatal if inhaled and its solid form can cause tissue damage.

Building a water dehydrator is a great idea, and definitely worth it if you like to tinker with things and build stuff on your own. However, with the price of dehydrated water capsules so cheap nowadays, it's not really economically worth it to build a water dehydrator. You'd have to really dehydrate a lot of water for something like this to pay for itself. I keep a pack of dehydrated water capsules in each of my vehicles' emergency kits. You just never know when the car can break down, and having a few dehydrated water capsules could be the difference between life and death. Rehydrated water does lose a bit of its flavor and tastes rehydrated, but in an emergency, it can save lives.

If you are going to dehydrate something, how about beer............ Who drinks water anyway? Water is for bathing, cooking and washing. One of the more delightful aspects of dehydration is the fact that alcohol evaporates before water allowing you to condense the alcohol creating a "beer concentrate", which unfortunately lacks the flavor of beer, but achieves the result rather quickly.

I remember a Bugs Bunny cartoon, where a barrel of "Instant Water, just add water" was in the desert, Bugs added 1 drop of water, and the desert became an ocean. You might want to ask the guys at Warner Bros. how they did it decades ago.

While you're at it, see if you can find one of those shotguns that you poke into a hole in the ground and the barrel comes out of a hole in a nearby tree. Think of the possibilities!
