Hi everyone on my first post,
I just botted my first batch Friday night (an all LME amber/wheat for simplicity.)
I'm already wanting to kick off a second batch, just to keep the homebrew flowing.
A coworker that used to brew heavily a few years ago gave me an old Barons no boil kit (Canadian Hi-Test.) It's been sitting in a dark, cool basement for probably 3+ years. I'm sure the yeast and hop pellets are long gone. There is also a bentonite packet, though that looks like some kind of clay/mineral from googling.
Would it be worth spending the five bucks on a new dry yeast packet (US-05?) and an ounce of cascade hops?
