Has anybody tried to brew those low gravity porters from the tail end of the 1930s and from during the war?

I was looking at something light, drinkable, tasty.

First thoughts are:

6US gallons (makes conversion to imperial easier)
OG 1.035, 32IBU, 25SRM

5lb Maris Otter
1.5lb Brown Malt
0.5lb Black Patent Malt
0.5lb Flaked maize
4oz Rolled oats or Flaked barley

60 Minute boil
60- 1oz Cluster
20- 1oz Fuggles

Quick protein rest and then mashed low. I'd be likely to pitch S04.

It looks really nice but I would sub some, if not all of the black malt for some chocolate malt. Some thing like 2oz black 6oz chocolate. I do like brown malt in porters as it adds a really nice roasted coffee flavor, Cheers.
