I did my first yeast starter last night with no problems. After pitching the yeast, I put the flask on my stir plate and started it up. Everything looked fine. This morning I notice the plate being little warm, I checked the temp. of the wort, it was 82°. Yeast is American Ale II attenuation 72-76°. Will I have a problem?

I wish my stir plates made a little heat. It's usually around 65* where I make my starters and it takes a little longer than I'd like.

Chill, and pour off the beer, leaving only the yeast at the bottom (chilling overnight will make the yeast drop hard to the bottom). That's decanting. I want this to be clear.

Chilled the starter and yeast fell to the bottom, I poured off the beer, left a little to make a slurry. Pitched the yeast in the wort about 9:00 last night, this morning 6:00 am krausen to the top of the fermenter. So all went well..
