I could of sworn I posted this before, but I can't find it so here goes again or for the first time.
Here on O`ahu the west side is quite dry and during the summers the vegetation on the hill sides turn brown. On of the common trees here is what we call Kiawe or as you in the Southwest Mesquite. I picked up a pound of Mesquite Smoked 2 Row and plan to use it to add a smoky flavor to this ale. Kind of like the air here smells during a summer brush fire. This will be the last of my three brews and will complete Saturday's shopping list.
