How is it an insult? To justify the world's most popular sport as one of the world's lamest obviously indicates that you don't have any interest in it yourself, therefore you aren't familiar with it (at all.)

Or is it just a case of you're entitled to your opinion, but nobody else is entitled to theirs?

I have tuned them out. Sure there isn't any individualistic songs, but living in the US with all the Latin America noisemakers, you get used to it. If you ever watch any of the MLS or CONCACAF games then you know what I mean. Drums, horns, those stupid sausage baton things.
