Anyone know of any good places to drink beers (good beers) that is on tap in Vegas. Looking for some rare beers. Let me know.

For good beers and rare beers, check out Aces & Ales, Burger Bar, Freakin Frog. For a good brewery check out Tanaya Creek, Chicago, and Big Dogs.

Stay away from Sin City BC IMO

If you want a good dinner with good beer pairings, check out Rosemary's.

I'm heading to Vegas in about a month, I'd be interested in some suggestions as well. I'll check out the ones already mentioned here.

The best place in town is the Draft House on north Rancho Drive. The brewery is located here and the beer is very fresh, not to mention a good selection. Tenaya Creek is pretty good also. If you're Downtown, try the Main Street Station, there's a brew pub located inside that's not bad. Also Downtown, is the Chicago brewpub outlet located inside the Four Queens. The brewery is not at this location, but it is here in town on Ft. Apache Rd.

i went to a dive casino/brewery about a block off the stip called Ellis Island Casino/Brewery (http://www.ellisislandcasino.com/). I ended up having a great time. I fed a few bucks into the video poker machine and ordered all of their beers. As it was Vegas I don't have a 100% recollection of each beer but I do remember thinking that some of them were decent. I remember their wheat beer tasting like an ashtray but the others were decent enough.

overall it was a really good deal, considering 6 beers cost me about 5 bucks in video poker and tip money. if you're OK with not hanging at the bellagio or wynn i'd say its worth a shot.

i also know there is a hafbrahaus somwhere in vegas not too far off the strip.

I forgot Ellis Island. We had a one on one tour with the head brewer there too. It was pretty interesting. He is an old school brewer from Pabst. They have a good stout and a pilsner that's pretty good for a real light adjunct heavy beer. The wife liked their house root beer too.

I'd have to say "stay away" is pretty strong...Sin City has pretty good beers, if not served too cold (at least at the Miracle Mile Mall location). They do what they do good, but the brewer is pretty much into traditional styles, so you're not going to get a hoppy APA or IPA there, nor any experimental seasonals. As prev mentioned, the weiss was very good, as was the stout on my most recent trip in May.

Still, I've visited several of the other places on a previous trip, and many of them were more to my general taste. I really liked Big Dogs -- their IPA was really good. However, I was staying at Planet Hollywood on my recent trip, so the Miracle Mile stand was very convenient...

The Yard House on the west side of the Strip in a big shopping center has a bazillion beers on tap. The Double Chocolate Coffee Stout is to KILL for!

Total wine has a nice selection of bottle beers (that's where I scored my Utopias), ask for Melissa if you go to the Henderson store. Aces & Ales has an extensive collection of bottle beers as well as a bunch of rotating taps. Ask for Ryan for the bottles.

Thanks guys! They are bit far from where i'm staying though, i won't have a car. Anything close to the freemont hotel & casino?

I think the yard house is in the redrock and yes they have a bazillion taps... DFH 90min IPA is on tap there... Go drive up the scenic road to the red cliffs if you go out that way...

Freaking frog has a decent bottle selection, but I didn't make it out that far when I was there a few months ago, I had some stuff from sin city at their booth in planet Hollywood and at pour 24 in new york new york, their stout was a standard irish dry, wasn't bad but nothing special, and their amber (which confusingly is an oktoberfest) and it wasn't terrible but nothing to go out of your way for, I wouldn't say avoid it though

Both YardHouses are technically on the west side... One is located at Town Square in the Southwest part of the valley, while the other is located at Red Rock Casino in the Northwest side of the valley. Neither are close enough for the OP to reach walking.

As mentioned before, downtown/Fremont St area has Triple 7 at Main Street Station and Chicago Brewing Company at the Four Queens. Both are decent.

We were just there and burger bar is great. For bottles, Total wine beats them all. Came home with some of my favorites.

If you yonder in to boulder city, the brewery isn't really worth your time. The Stout is weak, at best.... The service was good and the food was good, but the beer left me hanging. The best was the shandy, and it was half lemonade!

I've been to 777 at Main St. Station, I agree, it's pretty good and the wood fired pizzas are good too.

It's the 80 year old cocktail waitresses in skimpy cheerleader outfits across the street at the California that's disturbing.

same thoughts on them also. Really was kinda disappointed in their beer. The Shandy was tasty for sure. We went on a hot summer day, so it worked perfect. Food and biergarten were the highlights for me.

Another vote for Pour 24. It's convenient if you're hanging out on the strip and just want take a break and have pint of something good.

Currently enjoying an IPA from main street brewing. Really pretty tasty actually. Sipped on the hef which resembles something I made from extract. But good. And the amber was kind of weak.

The Califorrna is actually a pretty good place. Lots of Hawaiians like to stay there. Fun, old cocktail waitress'? What the hell, what goes on here, stays here. Might as well check it out!:tank:

After a few pints at the Main St. Station, you might as well check it out. It's right across the street anyway.
