At my LHBS today and suggested I wanted to clone Victory V12 or similar. The guy there had never had V12 so I tried to describe (poorly) and we built a recipe stumbling in the dark, so to say.

As of right now I'm making

4 oz Biscuit
3 oz Aeromatic
6 oz cara 45
6 oz carapils

10 lbs wheat LME (it's what I had)
1 lb candy sugar

and I've got 2 oz styrian goldings for late in the boil, I'm planning on using some Simco that I have bulk. (1 oz @ 60)

Now, I've been stuck on imperial porters and IPA, APSs for the last 5 years or so, so I'm looking for suggestions to get close to this beer. Because I don't think I did a very good job describing "liquid luxury"

I also have on hand.
1.5 lbs total Biscuit
2+ lbs carapils
1 lb total cara 45
1 lb total aromatic
.5 lb victory
.5 lb 60L crystal
and
40 lbs Pilsen DME
.5 lb Citra
1+ lb Simco
some bitter orange peal, vanilla beans, a couple ounces each of chocolate malt and non-malted black barley

I really think there needs to be some honey in this, but he didn't think so. Possibly after fermentation?

Anyway let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
