Hahahahaha! Epic stuff from U1 to "Whatever happened to U4?"

I happened to be in my local packy this evening picking up a sixer of the current Sierra Nevada seasonal ("Powder Day") for a trial, and they had a small display of the latest Utopias...tempting me like the sirens.

Hard pass here. Not my thing. If I want high ABV I like dark rum. Hella cheaper, too

I've had the pleasure, a couple times, of sampling a Utopia.
She's a true marvel, a one of a kind beer, that lives up to her name, and most of the undeniable associated hype: There's not much else like her!

Utopia is definitely in a class of its own for beer but not my preference. It's too sweet and not as complex as I expected. It's good that we have diversity in the beers brewed--this one just isn't for me.

Dang I remember that thread way back then and people who I'm sure are around but don't post as excessively as they once did.
