Has anyone used two different styles of yeast at the same time for one brew? do they act together, or compete? any thoughts on this would be great as I am trying to decide on german wheat or canadian/american style... possibly using both styles of yeast.

Haven't tried it but I'm thinking about it. A blend of yeasts that are similiar in characteristics would probably produce something nice... not sure about mixing two vastly different types.

Blending is fine. The yeasts won't really compete, they just go about their business and sort of ignore eachother.

One of Wyeasts seasonals is Thames Valley 2. In the information about it they talk about using it and their other T.V. yeast together.
