Using Tea...

My wife is an avid collector of David's Tea. It's a premium line of loose leaf teas. We have about 80 tins of different flavour teas which got me thinking. Has anyone ever experimented with loose leaf teas for adding some flavour to their home brews? (Not just hop tea...)View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1429320805.451182.jpg

I tried a beer someone made that they used tea in. It was okay, but remember, tea is supposed to give a ton of flavor even when you only steep a little bit of it. Use it sparingly.

I made a spiced tea cream ale. It's really nice.

I made 4.75 gallons of beer and mixed it with 0.25 gallons of earl grey tea at bottling. I also added 1/2lb of lactose to counteract the additional bitter of the tea and give it some pseudo-creaminess.
