I have a spare 19L carboy, and most kits are 23L.

Any prolems with just making the kit up to 19L instead, for a slightly stronger, tastier beer?

Thanks,
Keegan

Hmmm... the first beer kit I ever did... with my brother... we had a primary, but the cheap kit instructions didn't say to use it... so we didn't. The next morning we had a big, ugly brown snowman sitting on top of the carboy...

That is what you are cautioning against?

Thanks for the info! I'll start my starter this afternoon!

That is indeed what I am cautioning against. It's best to have a fermenter large enough that it does not blow off while fermenting. Cheers! :D
