I saw in another forum and saw something about gelatin being used to kill the yeast in cider. With me being new at brewing cider I have yet to hear anything at all about gelatin in the cider. Has anyone ever heard of this, or know anything about it, and would tell me about it,and does it work? Any thing about it might help me.

Thank You

Gelatin should clear cider (fine it) but it does not kill yeast. Just drop it. Maybe what they are recommending is doing a gelatin fining/cold crash and then racking? You will still need to use k-meta/sorbate or some other method to backsweeten the cider.
