I have a mini keg-cooler/portable kegerator that uses 4 mini 1 3/4 gallon kegs in a large cooler. After a resent event, I was disconnecting the external gas line, (connected by a ffl swivel barb that connects to a mfl tailpiece, in turn connected to a pass through shank) unscrewing the swivel nut with wenches, when my dad said,"You need some kind of quick disconnect for that." I then said,"Yeah wouldn't that be nice." But I didn't give it any more thought. Well about a day and a half later I remembered what he said and it hit me, they make ball lock posts that fit on commercial keg couplers and they use the same threads as faucet and pass through shanks. so why not use them to make it possible to easily take the kegerator apart for cleaning and storage. So my question is, has anyone else tried this and if so how did it work for you?
