We're out at our cottage, and I hunted a bit yesterday, but nothing came in before dark.

Here's what was on my trailcam this AM:

There were a total of three bucks- two eight pointers and a "unicorn". The one with the small 8-pt rack had the biggest body and chased the other two out of there.


Then, down on the lake:

It's hard to see, but those are trumpeter swans, swimming in the lake, with three otters swimming around with them. Weird, and I've never seen anything like it!
 
Whack 'em and Stack 'em! Nice fat buck!

I've heard otters can be inquisitive, but I have no idea what purpose they have swimming around a few swans. Unless a swan attacked a young otter, but it's not that time of year?

No, that's what's weird. The otters are very playful, and it seems like they were just playing around while the swans sort of ignored them. It was strange!
