So I just finished brewing a Budvar clone. Tastes great. Unfortunately, I put too much sugar in the bottling bucket (3/4 cup). Three bottles have exploded. The others look OK, but when I open them, there is a fountain of beer. The beer itself is as carbonated as champagne. Is there any way to remedy this? I thought of pouring the bottles out into pitchers and letting them sit for awhile before serving. Thoughts? Thanks, guys.

Some folks have had some relief by gently popping open all the beers and letting them sit with the loose caps on top for 10-15 minutes, then recapping them all. Just do something soon and make sure you wear protective clothing and eye protection/face mask. Those bottles can blow when you handle them and I've seen them imbed shards of glass in drywall when they do.

Two thoughts. You may have bottled before fermentation was complete, or you may have an infection. 3/4c sugar in 5 gallons of beer is not going to make bottle bombs alone.
