I used to have a bunch of Goose Island Imperial pints that I just didn't have room for, so I did "gift" them to my brother at Christmas. Now I feel bad, haha.

I don't think it's the item so much as the promise. I could give two ****s about the glasses. I think it's pretty f-up how the promotion was handled however. Based on the responses here, one might say it backfired on them. A homebrewing forum is probably not a good representation though.

I agree with Reelale. I've got many glasses and could care less about these. What bothers me is that they took information that can be used for targeted marketing and then went back on their promise to "pay for the info" with the glasses. I, for one, will be perfectly happy to spend my hard-earned $$ on products other than those provided by Coors/Killian's.

Whether or not you got something, you (and everyone else) still willingly gave them the information. If people are so concerned about giving away their information, then they shouldn't have done it, promise of a boring glass or not.

I had the message in my spam folder saying my submission had come to late. I sent a reply back, "Oh well, the Red Ale will taste just as good in my Killians bubble mugs".

Sent message back that I was not upset and I knew the quantities would be limited.
They must have received some less than polite messages for just trying to do something nice for their customers.

Why are people so butt hurt about not getting free glasses? The quantity was limited and they reached that quantity quicker than expected because people were giving out the code instead of everyone getting their own like it was intended. If you don't want a company to have your info...don't sign up.

My wife would certainly agree with your wife. She was less than happy about me getting 2 more pint glasses. Maybe it is better that I was too late and will not get any glasses. Maybe she will be happier that way!

All we can do is hope they're happy!

I'm sentimental, she is not, I have a Dallas Cowboy, St Louis Cardinal, Rt 66, a "Pig's Eye" (my first glass from a LHBS), a couple yearly issue from a brew pub in DC, and an Appalachian Brew Pub pint, all near and dear. The Yuengling pints are the first to go if I need more room.

1. It is hella cool for any brewer to send out free glass 2x for 2 glasses.
2. I like Killian's. My local bowling alley sells it and I'll drink the crap out of some Killians pitchers while knocking down some pins.

Even if you did get your submission in in time, I wouldn't expect to see the glasses for a while. Promo's like these usually take a good deal of time to process and ship.

pretty sweet, I'm still waiting, checking the mail everyday. Found it funny that they provide bottle openers, I am pretty sure Killian's are twist off.
