Trying my first pumpkin ale tonight

I want to brew my own pumpkin ale so i thought i should probalby try one first i found 2 sex packs at my local store one was Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale I passed on this since they are Coors then noticed right next to it Buffalo Bill's Brewery Pumpkin ale i pick up that and will give it a try in a few hours ill let you know.. hopefully i picked a good pumpkin ale to try....

You did not. I picked up a sixxer of the BB Pumpkin Ale today by mistake. It's pretty terrible. I'll be looking for some sort of pumpkin beer bread recipe after I post this because I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to drink the other 5.

BB pumpkin is disgusting in a bottle, last time i had it, tasted like rotted veggies.
i've had a few this season, only one i was able to say tasted pumpkin like was laurelwoods stigy jack.
wasn't what i would call pumpkin pie in a glass, but the spices were hinting and there was a slight taste of pumpkin there.

It is. After that, I like Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin.
