hey guys,
My fiance loves Tropical Bitch by Flying Dog brewery, cant find a clone recipe so I'm giving it a shot. Never attempted making my own clone recipe so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Their website describes the beer as follows. Pineapple and mango dominate with subtle passionfruit and sticky sweet, yet crisply bitter, hop notes. Also per website 8%, ABV 55 IBU. Malts-Pale, Caramel. Hops-Amarillo, Warrior, Galaxy.
Recipe I have as of now.
Malt
pale malt 12 lbs
Crystal 40L 2 lbs
Hops
60min-0.5oz Warrior, 0.25oz Galaxy
10min-0.5oz Galaxy
Flameout-0.5oz Amarillo, 0.5oz Galaxy
Dry Hop-0.5oz Amarillo, 1.75oz Galaxy, 0.5oz Warrior
Yeast-Belgian Ale
estimated OG 1.073
IBU-58.4
SRM-12.9
Estimated ABV-8.3%

I also want to add pineapple and mango but i am not sure the best way to do so. I was thinking getting fresh of each and making a puree for secondary. Not sure how much to use of each. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on my recipe as well as the fruit part. Thanks.
