Howdy,
I’m planning on brewing a tripel this weekend so that I have something relatively strong and dry for the coming warmer months. My grain bill is typically a combination of pils, wheat, and dextrose to get me to about ~1.080. I usually toss in enough noble hops for about 35-40 IBU.
This time around, I’d like to try something else with respect to hopping. My end goal is something that will be a little more hop forward. I’m looking for a floral/fruity hop that I can use. I doubt the mosaic, galaxy, simcoe path would work well with a tripel, so I have my eyes set (for the moment) on Mandarina Bavaria and anything else that may be similar. Are there any hops (or Belgian yeasts) you have used that throw floral/stone fruit characteristics?
Thanks.
