tri-clover clamp size

For those of you using tri-clover/tri-clamp fittings - if the ID of the tubing/fittings in my rig are all 1/2", what size clamps would I need for the tri-style fittings? I have seen some products say that 1/2" ID would require 3/4" clamps, but I want to be sure before I start purchasing upgrades.

It really depends on the size of the sanitary ferrule not the tubing, as you can get tubing and ferrules in just about any combination of sizes.

1/2" and 3/4" All us the same size clamp.
1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" All us the same size clamp.

And from there each ferrule has its own dedicated clamp.
