I have 3 TJ vintage ale bottles with the painted labels. A CLR soak took off all the white text, but nothing so far has touched the gold. Anyone have success removing it?

(Edit: not my picture)

Trader joes makes beer? They don't sell that around here.

They also have an entire lineup of German-style beers...contract brewd by Gordon Biersch I think. Good beers, awesome value - $1 each, mix'n'match to your hearts content. Here's their lineup on BA.

As for removing the label, I guess I was just wondering if anyone has tried anything that's worked. I can think of a long list of solvents too, its just not worth my time to try them all. Thanks for all the good suggestions though.

Thanks...the painted label isn't the problem. That came right off with CLR. It's the gold stuff that doesn't come off.
