Meh, that looks like a quick Spec's trip for me when I go to Houston. When I went to Houston and Austin for my birthday last year, I had 7 cases in the truck on the way home (5 from Houston and 2 from Austin).

Wow! I probably would have gotten in more trouble if I was sans children.

It isn't overboard until you aren't sure how you'll get it all home.

As I was packing it up on Monday, that was a concern...

Luckily it all fit, including the case on the floor up front that SWMBO had to rest her feet on... :O

I wound up drinking some of the Austin Beerworks stuff in the hotel while studying for my tasting exam. Just to make sure it all fit.

Did you find the AV gose downtown? I've been looking all over for that stuff.

Yep. It should get around soon. Downtown always has it first before it gets sent out. I've been looking forward to it. See what the hub bub is. They had plenty so if you are in the area. Also have a bunch of the barrel Nebraskas. You can see without social media and hype the beer sticks around longer though not cheap.:rockin:

Sweet, I'll be looking for it. I saw the Nebraskas at HEB, but passed because of price.

They had the pale and the wheat?? I think. This is the one that sounded good at the time and felt like a biere de garde. Hope they are good. Now we just need Nola to come over. I had mecha but it was an old can. :(

I assume by wheat you mean Passionné (wheat beer with passion fruit). I think that's the only wheat beer they make typically. I'm not a big fruit beer fan, so I don't think I've ever had it. The Pale is a pretty good Belgian Pale Ale. Nice and hoppy. Really like it now that they're brewing it themselves. When they started out, they were contracting the regular lineup at a brewery in MS and brewing the seasonals on a smaller system at their place (the bank suggested that to establish a market before they would commit to full financing). Now that they have it fully up and running, their quality is much more consistent. My favorites out of their regular lineup are Biere Noire (schwarzbier), Acadie, and Biere Pale (in that order). Served their beer at a beer fest last weekend and Acadie was the most popular across the board, but the Pale was the hop-head choice (including what Karlos, one of the owners, kept sneaking whenever a bottle didn't have enough for a sample pour left in it).

If you ever want to try fresh Mecha, let me know. I always buy it at the brewery when I get it.

This thread is about beer

My work mates wanted to know what I was lol'ing about. I have no money to put into the HR or the curse jar today, so I closed this down for a bit. Funny stuff man, funny stuff.
They have a wine barrel aged ale called Melange A Trois

They had that one too for the same price Wes said. Only $19 which is still a lot and $47 never will pay that. Just a rip off

Trade with @smurfjuice Thanks Jim!

The best part of beer mail at this point in the year is that the beer is pre-chilled:

Not a trade, but Rare Beer Club shipment came in today too:
