I have some really nice 3" dial, 6" stem length thermos on my rig but I'd much prefer short stem. If anyone is looking for the longer stem to run it in a thermo/sight tee or whatever and would like to trade let me know. Mine looks like this:

1/2" male NPT on the back and a allen key recalibration screw on the edge.

bobby, is this your MLT or HLT? if so, I've got some extra short stem 1/2" male NPT thermos lying around and you can have one of them to try out. the only problem with these is that there is no recalibration screw that I've seen on them. i just stuck them in the fridge to see how they do with my digital thermo in there. if they come out within a degree or two, I'll take a picture and post it up here. these were inline thermos on an old soil heating system we had at our research farm and they were throwing away the entire copper manifold, including the 3 thermos. they are 'heatway' brand, which i can't find any info on but i assume they were top of the line like 7-8 years ago when they installed it.

edit: meant to say if it's your MLT or HLT, the temp only goes up to 200* F on these.

bobby, one of the thermos is way off and the other i have lying around is about 2 degrees off from my temp controller. and i cannot figure out how to calibrate the things, i guess you'd have to take the top off but that would essentially destroy it. if you can't find another and want to give the one that is within a few degrees a try, let me know and it's yours.
