Just brewed a wheat and cooled the wort with ice (frozen gallons (2)) of distilled water and poured the wort directly on top in the primary. Worked great as it completely cooled immediately. It's an hour later and the temp is 57 with still two blocks of ice.

Is there such a thing as too cold to pitch? I am using nottingham dry brewing yeast which has instructions on preparing, suspending, and matching wort temp to prevent temperature shock.

Thank you to all for your advice :)

I would let it warm at least into the low 60s before pitching the yeast. The first thing you want them to do is start reproducing, and below 60 they'll have trouble staying awake :)
