This is the first recipe I have designed. Pretty much nailed the color I was looking for, I just hope the taste/aroma comes through. This was also my first time using leaf hops. That was pretty wild, haha!

Hope many others had enjoyable brews days as well!

Since you've already brewed this, make sure to let us know how it comes out. 1 pound of 120L seems like you'll get way too much dark fruit flavor for an IPA. Otherwise, the hop schedule looks great. I'm a big fan of Chinook.

Will do! I keep calling it an IPA, but it's prolly too dark and fruity to really be an IPA. Hoping it will be delicious, whatever category it falls into hehe!

Just had a sniff of this thing while pulling a gravity sample. WOW!! Chinook rocks! It's a tad bit sweet yet but is gonna be great in a few weeks!!

After two weeks in the keg, this beer rocks! Just a hint of residual sweetness, smooth malt character and a nice hip complexity considering the single hop. The staggered late additions are apparently the way to go! The color is a beautiful deep copper color. Will def make this again, but may use less/lighter crystal malt To lighten up the color just a bit.
