I am making a coconut porter. I have 10oz of fresh coconut I was going to put into the boil my dilemma is to toast the coconut or not before adding into the boil? Ill drop at least 12oz into secondary toasted. It's a extract with specialty grains thanks

Raw coconut will have more of a coconut flavor and toasting will bring out some nuttiness (is that a word), anyway, depends on what you're looking for.

I've always toasted mine, so I don't have any info on untoasted, but mine always turn out ok. Coconut is a subtle flavor though so just make sure not to blacken it, a light brown is fine.
