Anyone turning their beer into delicious delicious whiskey? Is it much too complicated to start? I can get just about anything a chemistry experiment would require.

Also. How much beer does it take to make a liter of the hard stuff? Not sure if it's worth my while.

i keep my still right next to my pot plants and my meth lab.

i guess i've said too much

is it just illegal? i don't even know. I was under the impression that to do it for your own use was acceptable.
also I don't live in america... so it'd be kosher for me. right? I really dont understand the weirdness of the response... what am I missing?

The policy of the forum is no talk about distilling. It's illegal where the forum is hosted, and likewise can potentially be a source of trouble. We're very protective of the community here.

Sorry mate, it's no judgment on you or the practice, but this thread will get zapped.

Yes, it is illegal. Here, at least. And although I can't quote terms of service here, I think the topic of distilling is verboten regardless of where you are. Sorry, hope that is clear.

Your profile says you are 90 and in Texas. There are advantages to being truthful there.

Yes,distilling is illegal.Unless of course you are making perfume:rockin:

A google search will direct you towards several active distilling forums where you'll quickly find responses to your questions.

I think it is odd how some of the online brew supply places also sell kits to make perfume. That is the great thing about brewers... how diverse their interests are. Hmmm, where are the mods... this thread is going nowhere quickly (and I'm not helping)...

in any case, wouldn't distilling beer make Bierschnapps, not whisky?

Unfortunately my vocation requires ambiguity.
