Tipsy Canoe Pilsner
Brewed on 5/1/2021
Malts:
10.5 lbs Pilsen
.5 lbs dextrine/carapils

Hops:
1oz Perle 60m
1oz Saaz 10m

Yeast: WLP810 San Francisco Lager

Water: ColumbusOH city tap water

Additional Ingredients:
Whirlfloc tablet at 15m

Mashed in at 152’F with 3.75 gallons water
Fly Sparged at 170’F with 7 gallons water
7.5 gallons collected in kettle, boiled down to 6 gallons, 5.5 collected in fermentor.

This will be kegged for our 3rd annual camp and cabrew outing in Mohican with friends.

With the help of nine friends, it was nearly gone within one long summer night, with two or three pours left in it in the morning.

It fermented well and tasted like a Pilsner. Next time i would use more saaz, the hop flavor was a bit muted, i like to know my pilsners have hops. Decent malt character in my opinion, not sure if i was actually perceiving the yeast characteristics instead
