I'm brewing this "Pilsner SMaSH" again. Amazing.
10-gallon batch (suggested)
100% Pilsner Malt (From Germany you pick)
SMaSH 1.055ish OG
you pick the hop (mine was Mosaic) 40ish IBUs
US-05 for 5 gallons
(then dry hop -- I used 4oz Citra) :rockin:
34/70 for the other 5 gallons (no dry hop)
Ferment in the middle range for ale/lager (55-65F is fine)
Drink the US-05 dry hop beer young.
Do NOT touch the 34/70 beer until all the dry hop ale is gone.
The longer you can wait the better for the lager (within reason).
Today, I'm drinking the 34/70 version at 4 months. Amazing.
They were two of the best beers I've ever had.
Ok, if you don't like the "ish"s in my recipe here are the details.
(this version was 15 gallons with my buddy taking 5)
