I have a guess from me and one from my lady since we are both kinda stumped. Mine is marshmallow and her guess is ginger. Both kinda candy-esque though.
 
So check this out. She made a list. Ha ha ha ha ha. She usually gets mad when I look at my beer forum. She is very upset that I am posting the pic since she horrendously spelled marshmallow.

Adjunct is not a malt, not a wood.

This is a pretty big hint. Someone was kind of close with pumpkins, even though this adjunct is not remotely related to pumpkins botanically. But it is kinda close in a different way.

Let me know if this isn't fun anymore and I'll give a really big giveaway hint instead of a cryptic one.

To explain myself, I see pumpkin and sweet potato as being similar because they taste almost exactly the same when roasted & mashed. Sweet potato pie and pumpkin pie are pretty much indistinguishable to me.
