Thermowell Question

Hey guys I tried to finish my brewery and going back tomorrow to brew first ebrew.

In test and cleaning I determined my liquid tight spring wire has a short. If I move it around it loses connection and temps go crazy.

I have a thermawell and non-liquid tight probes, I'm monitoring hex output. Any idea of the temp difference when in a thermowell compared to directly in liquid.

There shouldn't really be a temp difference, the thermowell will make the probe react slower to temp changes but it isn't a big difference
