So I got my rims system with Auber PID controller up and running this weekend. The build is essentially that written by Guy in his RIMs for dummies thread. I've was testing it out recirculating water and everything works perfectly except that the PV is about 4 deg F warmer than the thermometer on the MT is reading. I double checked with a handheld digital thermometer and the MT's is correct. I also checked the temp at the outlet of the hose where it dumps into the MT and the temp is still lower than what the thermocoupler is reading. The thermocoupler is at least several inches away from the element. Do others with this build experience the same thing? Its not a huge deal since I could always adjust the SV accordingly if the error is constant. Input would be appreciated.
