Therminator Storage

The sticker on the face of the Therminator says to "sanitize and store this end up" pointing to the end with the threaded fittings. However the user manual says "Store the Therminator as shown in Fig. 3a with the ends open and facing down." Which is it?

And I can still hear a bit of Star San sloshing inside, but it won't drip out regardless of how I tilt it around. Any tips?

I hang mine with the water inlets/etc facing down. but more important than that...do not keep them outside. If the water in them freezes, it can crack your plates and then your chiller will be useless... Happened to a buddy of mine; not a good way to finish brew day.

Thanks - yeah, I definitely store things that may be sensitive to freezing in the basement rather than the garage.

I just received a confirmation from Nick at Blichmann: "...we believe that the unit should be stored with the ports up after it has drained to allow the liquid to evaporate...John thinks the unit allows the liquid to evaporate better if the ports are up." And he confirmed that the user manual is now incorrect and will be fixed soon.
