Hi all. I started brewing last December when my wife got me a setup for my birthday.

Since I’ve brewed:
- a Belgian Pale Ale (all extract). Got 46 bottels out of a 5gal batch. It was good and my buddy and I drank through the last of it on New Years day when I was brewing my Hefeweizen
- bohemian pilsner. Brewed 12/17. Diacetyl rest from 12/23 to 12/25. In secondary for lagering 12/28. The flavor was already really good with a hint of carbonation and no buttery or butterscotch flavors. I’ll check on that one after 4 weeks of lagering in the fridge
- above mentioned Hefeweizen. Brewed 1/1 and fermentation looked to be done after 3 intense days. The fermenter was sitting at a spot that got too hot and it went up to 79/80! I put it in a wine fridge at 65 and will leave it there for at least an other week before bottling it. I’m kind of nervous about this one..

Looking around here for a good ipa. I’m a newbie so not into all grain brewing (yet) but I do steep grains. I read something about a great 60minute recipe on here but haven’t been able to find it yet.

I live just north of Houston and have been visiting the store Brew it Yourself in Spring. Great stuff and info there!

Great forum!

Welcome aboard! I've been brewing for about 2 years and joined this sight back in May of 2017 but have just started recently using it! What a wealth of info on here! Best of luck and happy brewing!

Sorry I live in Canada. How far are you from Mission, Texas? I do remember having a window blow out on one of your bridges in Houston with my other rig!
