Anyone else at CW today? Got there around 2:30 and was annoyed that all the good stouts kicked. Then that tomato started pouring Black Gold and didn't stop.

was there. never made it to the tomato.

I hit NG on my way to CW, which was super fast & smooth. CW was pretty crazy around 1 but after I went through the bottle line it got much better. Fun event. 17 was mighty tasty. Rye Black Gold was excellent. Maple bourbon stout wasn't IMO. Weaze the juice was a nice wild ale. The show stealer for me was Door County Pete. Reminded all of us of a TG pale ale. It was that good. Galaxy & Mosaic. Couldn't stay long but it was fun.

that Rye Black Gold was my favorite of the day, too.

those al pastor tacos rocked my face off also

Damn, missed that one. Guess I need to head up to Door County.

saw a couple Talk Beer shirts on Saturday
wasn't sure about TB protocol
do we acknowledge other TBers?
is there a handshake?
do we just shout out "HEY! TALKBEER!"

I was wearing mine with a white thermal underneath. I got no TB love from it. Much sadness. That said, I was there from 1 to 2:30 so not very long.

looked like quite a few beer people caught wind of the free bottle of CW beer being handed out to runners/walkers

good news for the fundraiser but a little weird watching people who hadn't walked 2 miles in the last year lining up to walk 2 miles all at once

fully expected to see nerds laying on the roadside, spent from the effort but the two routes diverged until nearly the very end. only the heartiest survived.

This Thursday at Noon, the Brown Paper Ticket reservations will go live for our upcoming release of Frampaars and White Lodge Reserve!

These will be released at the O'so 8th Anniversary party, and O'so will have bottles of Nefarious (Dark cherry sour with cacao and habanero) for sale on location.

White Lodge Reserve - $20/bottle, 6 bottle limit

This is our first American Geuze style beer and I am very excited for you guys to try it. A blend of 3, 2, and 1 year old American Lambic, it is a complex and delicate beer. If you've had any of our lambics, or been following this project at all, you will know I believe lambics should be first and foremost a balanced drink.
We are one of the very few producers in the US following the traditional lambic production process, and this may be why we are able to age our barrels for 3 years and not have a sour bomb. I'm excited to show the world what a Geuze from this side of the Atlantic can look like.

Frampaars - $22.50/bottle, 6 bottle limit

Frampaars, meaning purple raspberry, is the sister beer to Framrood (red raspberry). This is a blend of our American Lambic averaging 2 years and then aged on purple raspberries for 3 months. It has been conditioning for nearly 6 months. Enjoy!

Can anyone help me out with a proxy? I bought 6 total, and will send you a 6 bottle shipper filled with thank you beers, and warm hugs, as well as a shipping label to make it as easy on you as possible.

Taplist for the Grand Opening so far: FFF Pear Bear & Alpha Naught, Bell's Oracle, Karben 4 Tokyo Sauna, other stuff..
That Pear Bear is ridiculous. I have never been a FFF sour fan, but that one is up with with DeGarde imo.

Going to Milwaukee on Friday 10/30, probably will stop at the Woodmans in Kenosha but also looking for another liquor store on the way up. Is my best bet the Discount Liquors on Oklahoma in MKE? Also if any one in Milwaukee wants me to mule them some Chicago beers I'd be happy to help, compensation tbd, think cheese curds and zj's will suffice. I'm staying at the Hilton City Center.

If you've never been, check out Tenuta's in Kenosha. You can grab a killer italian sausage there for lunch as well. There's also Timers in Racine, but it's a bit further out of the way since you'll already be getting off for Kenosha. A stop at Discount is always worth it.

I've heard of Tenuta's but never been, usually we just want to make a quick pit stop and Woodman's Kenosha is sufficient. The sausage sounds good but if anything we hit Brat Stop on the way up, no time for food this time as we are meeting friends for lunch that Friday, but I'll keep Tenuta's in mind. Hoping to see more variety at Discount and try some Toppling Goliath or something interesting like Karben4.

I was just at Ray's on North and they have TG Light Speed and Golden Nugget. Also Karben 4 Fantasy Factory. I like Ray's if you are in the area. Also the Malt Shoppe in Tosa has a large selection.

Yeah, Tenuta's is like another 5-10 minutes East of 94. They also carry TG and Karbon4 now, but Discount will have the larger selection. If you haven't been to Discount before either, I'd stop there over Tenuta's. Make sure to check the bottom shelf of the small refrigerator in the main beer aisle for the TG and Black Husky bombers.

Quick Correction: Karben4's Silk Scorpion is actually Tokyo Sauna!

fwiw, to anyone attending, i really enjoyed that Cashmere Hammer

Yesterday Discount Liquors had a nice Epic display in the back by the wall of coolers - I picked up two Big Bad Baptists and two Brainless on Peaches. Also got a few TG's: Light Speed, XHOPS Gamma, and Smoove Opferator. They also had a few Black Husky varieties in the mid-aisle cooler right below the TG's, but I had to cut & run before I had a chance to properly look at them because one of my kids starting doing the pee-pee dance.

I was up in Milwaukee last Saturday and stopped at the Woodman's in Kenosha and they still had New Glarus Berliner Weisse. Wasn't this the batch that was recalled or something due to being overcarbed? I'll be going back to Milwaukee tomorrow and was thinking about grabbing some.

Also for Milwaukee residents, is Zayna's actually good haha? We ordered a pizza and wings at 2 in the morning and I thought the pizza, especially the crust was great. The next day a friend of mine told me he got sick and thought it was from the wings.

It was the 2014 batch of berliner that was pulled. No issues with this years.
