Yeah, got a lot of coffee taste in this year's batch. My palate isn't very refined, but this reminded me of a BA coffee stout.
I can actually see what you mean by that. Had one last night and was getting a really nice, subtle coffee roastiness out of it. It had a creamier feel to it than usual as well. Hope their turding up the shelves up there and I can grab some more.

If I decide to piss away more money this month, anyone going to the Coolship Party on Jan 23 that could pick up bottles? PM is fine. Merci.

I picked up a bottle of Convenient Distraction yesterday. Can't wait to try it! We're there carb/infection issues with the regular CD or just the BBA stuff?

Anyone sample NG Wild Peach lately?

From the other site:

Drank an R&D peach last night. It's soured up a bit, really really nice. Still has a big peach nose, but a lot of the Trolli sweetness has dropped out. Absolutely love it. If you have one to drink, I can firmly recommend drinking it. Or cellaring it.

anyone going to Ahnapee this weekend for the Imp Choc Stout release thing?

Out in California right now, and Sculpin six packs are pricey...$14.99. I feel like they will have a hard time competing if they come in much higher than that into the Wisconsin market.

That's the price in Chicago I think.

I'll buy fresh Sculpin at that price if I'm in the mood, but I agree that they might have trouble.

STOP THE ************* PRESSES, ONE OF THE BEST WHEAT BEERS OF ALL TIME IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!! I will consume atleast 2 cases of this this summer.

I used to love drinking Crack'd Wheat until late summer / early fall when Dancing Man comes out, will look forward to that again this year.

Full homer here, but those 2 beers hold up against any of the best wheat beers made in the world. Dancing Man is a desert island beer for me. Black Wheat was awesome too, but it's been awhile since that has seen shelves.

Edit: Laughing Fox is a top tier wheat beer as well.
