Carol reminded me of that scene from Spaceballs.

"Not bad for a girl."

"Hey, that was pretty good for Rambo."

Finally watched the episode. I thought it was a good one. It had some pretty brutal stuff at the beginning with the throat slicing but it was back in form. I had to look up to make sure it was actually Morgan at the end. They are really reaching back with that. Looking forward to seeing where that plot line plays out and where they end up going now.

After reading the comments on here I was like "Who the hell is Morgan?" Googled it, saw his picture, and still didn't recognize him. Had to read up on it before I remembered.

SWMBO didn't recognize him either; I had to remind her.

To be fair, he's only been present two other times in the series, and those were spread far apart.

That zombsplosion was AWESOME!!! Great season premiere.

I thought Tyreese was going to leave that guy alive, inadvertantly allowing him to recover in time to come out blazing taking 1-2 of the "team" out.

What symbols do you think Morgan was following?

Talking Dead referenced the team's regrouping to bring back old conflicts. I had forgotten about a lot of it to be honest. The biggest one in my mind is the Daryl/Rick conflict when Daryl finds out Rick had ousted Carol.

What other conflicts? I guess learning that Carol did the ol' Of Mice and Men to poor little Lizzie.

There's Glenn not telling the group that the one girl he met use to be with the governor. He told Maggie and them that he just met her on the road.

I think either Glenn or Maggie is going to die this season. Glenn dies in the comics and his close call this episode may be a foreshadowing, because once again in the comics, he gets his face bashed in. Maggie could go too. At the end of last seasons she burns her picture and tells Glenn that he will never need a picture of her again.

I don't usually watch Talking Dead, but I saw mentioned elsewhere that in last night's "In Memoriam" section, they didn't call out the guy from the cabin, leaving the slim possibility that Tyreese didn't kill him. I don't necessarily believe it, but still interesting.

I kind of thought he is alive too. He stopped carol from going in because she would kill him. Also the walkers we pierced on stakes, but their heads looked intact, like he did not kill them either.

I think the group that took Terminus, the one's they said they had to take it back from, are still around. I don't read the comic, but there's supposed to be some other group of bad mofos. Nagin?

I just read something interesting. Did you notice that the crazy dude the Rick lets out of the storage unit, the one that keeps saying "We're the same" was the same guy at the end of the episode that was in the train car picking with women to rape and slapped Gareth across the face? I never noticed that but I suppose it makes sense why he kept saying we're the same.

And in the article I read, they specifically said: Sorry die-hard comic fans, it's not Negan. But I suppose that doesn't mean his group is still around.

dang near cried...

Darryl and his crossbow, REUNITED!

I may be wrong here...I'll have to re-watch last season to be sure, but didn't Rick and Daryl already have this confrontation. The first person Rick told was Maggie, but I think the episode after Rick returned showed the Rick/ Daryl thing. It was actually very short and anti-climactic if I remember right.

I drink a lot though, so I may have dreamed this.

Didn't notice until the Talking Dead, then the look made more sense. I like that they put those little call backs in.

I'm not a fan of the idea of a tv show about a tv show, but I started watching Talking Dead a while back just to fill me in on the nuances that I was missing. It comes in very useful!

LOVE Talking Dead, and the last season of Breaking Bad they had Talking Bad, which I also loved.

makes me wish more shows had aftershows

except, the few times Sons of Anarchy tried one, it was so flippin awful I realized for them to work, they need Chris Hardwick for the host

Here was my interpretation from last season, let me know if anyone else agrees, as it may be total BS:

Rick has always been about doing what is good. The ideal protagonist. He was a cop, and always asked potential group members how many people (not walkers) they killed. hell, he even exiled Carol.

In the season finale, he beat the ****/killed the guys holding Darrell and even swapped his weapon (where I believe the symbolism takes place). He swaps his revolver, his duty weapon that symbolized his goodness, with that of the 1911 of the bad guy he killed who was holding Darrell hostage. I believe Rick, went Walter White o to speak, as in he broke bad... He realized there wasnt any good left and the true animal started to come out in him, which had been predicated through Carl.

He buried the gun, symbolically burying his goodness, and let the bad side take over...Hence, carrying the 1911 from the evil guy.

In the season premiere, he not only kills walkers, but those who took him captive. He didnt do this with the groups previous captors, aside from those of Woodbury, who were a direct threat at the prison.

I think Rick is going to **** people up this season... He has been pushed past his limits.

I like it. He tried to be the nice guy, the builder, the farmer, the community organizer. It failed spectacularly. Now it's time for the savage. Carol was cast out for being too violent, too heartless. But it was her ruthlessness that saved them all.
It's time to put some heads on stakes.

I don't have cable anymore, does anyone know where I can buy or watch (on the net) the new episodes?

Amazon. New eps are available within about 6 hours after premiering on AMC. $1.99 SD/$2.99 HD per episode or subscribe to the entire season for $26.99 SD/$41.99 HD.

777 that is interesting. But didn't he un-burry the rolver? Was it a short lived 1911 bad ass Rick?

Well that's where I felt my theory might be BS now... Maybe it was short lived. Though I don't feel Rick will leave anything to chance now that the group is complete again.

You can stream the premiere on AMC's website. Not sure about any upcoming episodes. I don't have cable either so I watch it through other nefarious ways.

He's still crazy. He wanted to go back and finish off the rest of the Terminus people. Now, the leftover Terminus people are going to be hunting them down as they go north/look for Beth.

I wish they would have finished them off. Hell, that's what I would have done.
