Spent most of the afternoon baking several different cookies today. Should be good to go for the holiday's. Neighbors should be happy too.

I think Keno said he had a wedding to go to today. I won't be surprised if he doesn't respond until tomorrow. I know I wouldn't. :mug: :tank:

Yep, reading it can be a little off. So, an update to it, I think, would be warranted. Something a little more to do with what we are doing, whatever that may be. :D

Yes a name change is good.

I saw "Blichmann engineering is over"

That's kinda a harsh thing to say.

Yea I kinda just thought that up real quick...wansnt too sure of a good name

Yea I just wanted anyone who followed the Blichmann giveaway would see this one hopefully...

Of course everyone did

That was quite the streak last night. And yes I had a wedding last night and just finally got organized to check in here

Granted I did also happen to take a trip around Philly today to see the Wannamakers light show and Comcast light show as well.

I got my imperial stout right now at 30 psi. I have not shaken it once but I will check the carb level in a day or two and also to check how the cocoa nibs and meco pepper are doing in it.

Since I have no grains, and I am going to win the BrewEasy system, I decided to give a clone system a whirl. I was bored this weekend and we had a massive cold front blow in.

Rebuilt my 120v PID TO 220v, just need more wire to make the cords longer. It is buried in the corner there between the cart and dryer.

Everything else I have on hand.

The Upper kettle has an element in it but it is not being used it is my 120v rig, the bottom kettle is my 220v rig.

Upper kettle 44qt Bayou Classic kettle, lower kettle 64qt Bayou Classic kettle.

It would be difficult but possible to do a 5gal batch in the 10gal BrewEasy. The float is almost necessary, the viscosity of the fluids change with temperature so you have to adjust your valves and watch things closely so you do dry fire your element. The flow restriction gaskets would make things easier as well.

This is the first time I dry hopped in the keg and Saturday morning I realized I did not have the floss tied off and the bag slipped in and sank to the bottom....I fished it out with a racking cane and retied it....now I hope all is well and carbing up

By cold front does that mean it dropped to 70....:D

it was 65 this am by 3 pm it was 40 with a wind chill bringing it to 25

A cousin dropped me off two glass carboys that were used for water delivery a while he had lying around...I am not a real fan of glass but I think I might use them to make a few sour beers and age them in it.

our homebrew club has a barrel. It went sour after the first fill. So second fill was a flanders red and now its a solera where we will pull 15 gallons every 3 months and refill it with a fresh 15. I get my 5 in march!!

Guess we are closing in on the shortest day of the year soon huh!

I love it like this but really cant wait till late Jan when we get snowed on then after a month of that then start to realize the days are getting longer and spring is almost here!!
