Im well aware of that...
However, most home use conventional style water heaters are set at 120*F or below for prevention of scalding(mostly for kids safety) If one were to assume this is the HOT water used by people who dont know, it feels very hot to the touch but its not high enough to pasteurize . You surely dont want to have your hands in it long ,even if youre able, while cleaning your brewing equipment . This is the point Ive been trying to make about "hot" water not being enough.
