This past weekend I made a batch of beer. I live in Florida and it is VERY hot and humid down here.. Although I keep my A/C on in my condo I cant keep it down to 72 all the time or my bill would be through the roof. I put my bucket in a platic tub ( not too big ) and every morning when I wake up I dump out water and add ice to the bottom so it stays around 70-72 degrees.. Before I go to bed I do the same thing. I have to do this for atleast 2 more weeks.. My wife asked me if it was all worth it and I told her I would answer that question in about 5 weeks when I am sitting on the couch watching some kind of sporting show guzzeling down a few of them..!!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would do something weird like this for their beer..!!!

Happy Brewing and drinking..

One mini fridge and some insulation could save all this effort! I went about a year keeping my A/C blasting (even in the winter!) then I smartened up. $60 for a fridge, insulation and duct tape is definitely cheaper then the electric bills and the constant icing habit.

My freezer has a few frozen pizza's in it, and the rest of the space is ice, and iced 1/2 gallon containers.
It's 83 here in my living room right now at 10:30pm, and 64 in my swamp cooler.

Damn, turn the air on! I can't sleep in my house if the temp is over 72ish.
