Why does anyone think this is about money?
It's only for international arrivals .... right now...TABC regulators are dumb enough to think implementing this plan is somehow a good way to stop unlawful transfers of alcohol within the state (trading) after seeing Pennsylvania make some moves to the same end.

Eventually they knock on your door and ask to see your cellar and the receipt for that bottle of Pliny you've been aging.![]()
Fly to Houston, drop beers off with me. I'll give you a ride to Austin. You can choose the radio station. I'll buy the kolaches on the way.
Better be Hruska's
swoons

Alpine Brewing is setting up shop in San Antonio.
Uh. I uh. Used to buy their Hefe when Live Oak wasn't available?
Dur. Big Bend in Alpine, TX. heh.*Big Bend
Isn't Alpine/Green Flash having massive problems?
Flying in to ABIA tonight. Wish this was open! Oh well, maybe come football season.
The brewery is literally across the street.Makes huge sense. They can just throw kegs over the fence into the airport from the brewery.
I know. But literally across from my gate is better. The brewery is literally across the street.
So Lonestar just announced that they got some Cantillon Gueze. Is this a thing now in TX?

Jester King helped them get a license so they could have a proper Zwanze Day with bottles available to go and additional pours available (proceeds from ZD ticket sales paid for half and Jester King paid for the other half iirc)....Was wondering that myself.

They turn up about ever 6 months at Jester King and get sold instantly.... I've seen D&Q Beer Station down in Houston get a few bottles here and there as well.
So yes, legit. Flood distributes them.
Have I ever seen one on the shelf though? Nah. I keep wondering if I'll catch one at Spec's sometimes in the dusty lambic section next to Gueuze Mariage Parfait.
I knew about Zwanze, but figured it would always be a JK only type thing. Living in Dallas it will be nice to get teased up here every once in a great while...
Unfortunately it seems I missed it.Zilker Third Space is fantastic. One time only release though. If they brewed it regularly it would probably be my 2nd favorite Austin IPA behind Electric Jellyfish.
