Alright so i've been thinking about switching over to all grain brewing not only for the savings in cost i'll get, but also so i can have more control over my brews. I am trying to decide what equipment I'll need. So far this is my list:
A 10 gallon or at least 7+ gallon pot
Turkey fryer
A buckets that is about 5 gallons to hold hot water(~170 deg, can I just use my bottling bucket for this or is that going to melt)

What else would I need, aside from the obvious, primary/secondary.

Thanks,
Daum

You are going to need a mash tun. If you want to batch sparge, 10 gal Rubbermaid beverage coolers can be converted easily to do the job. See my signature for an example of how to do it. A second cooler comes in handy for holding hot water for your sparge, but it not entirely necessary. You can use your bottling bucket to collect your first runnings from the mash, and add sparge water directly to the mash from your kettle.

You are also going to need a good thermometer for measuring mash temperature. If you are doing 5 gal batches or larger, you will also need some way to quickly chill the wort. You can make an immersion chiller from copper tubing fairly easily, or you can go the next step and make a counterflow chiller (see the wiki).

There are lots of other add-ons and do-dads that one can use, but those should be the essentials.

not to hijack, but to add:

are there any easy AG recipes to start out with to start thinking about. Non-specific beer type, lager, ale, etc?

[I'm starting down this same road]

There are literally hundreds of easy recipes to start. "Easy" meaning no step mashes, decoctions, etc, I assume. You can just use base malt and some crystal, for example, in nearly any style beer that you want.

Yes, easy as in basic AG reciepes, to concentrate for a batch or two on the difference from PM

I suggest a triple decoction barley wine or a double IPA for your first AG.

Seriously, just try a simple amber with 9 lbs 2-row and 1 lb crystal, single infusion mash, use hops and yeast of your choice and you should be golden.
