That’s the first gold for Bressi correct? I’ve never cared for that beer but definitely show how beers can cross categories and walk away with a win. That beer never struck me as a ESB type beer.
I actually enjoyed it when it was OB Chronic, but something happened when it "moved" to Bressi that made it my least favorite PP beer.

Do beer geeks who aren't brewers or hangers-on really care about GABF medals? With few exceptions, I prefer beers made to sell rather than to style.

When I travel to a new brewery I like to try their whatever "award winning beer" they have on draft and then I will venture off to their other offerings. But having an award is never a pre-req to me enjoying various beers.

I only like when a beer I think is good wins a medal, to validate my taste. Otherwise, it’s hard for me to take serious a tiny fraction of all the beers in the country being judged in a basement in this fashion. It’s still fun to watch and follow but it’s akin to the WWE Hall of Fame.

personally i think GABF should take into account untappd scores for their medals but what do i know i'm just a level 99 ciceralone

Take every new money cliche and distill it into one brewery and fanbase, and you essentially have 3 Chiefs. The BA thread isn't even entertaining unless you enjoy watching people regurgitate the same arguments repeatedly.

I guess I find it funny based on goons doing a fantastic job trolling and keeping it alive. (please oh please let him be trolling and not be for real...please)

He's 10000% for real.

A sad day over on BA (as if there were ever any good days) but goons got the banhammer it seems. =( How will I get my daily dose of over the top back and forth banter between him and pretty much everyone else?

Tyrsis go start some **** plz?

I know, kinda bummed for that. It was really fun trying to decode his broken english.

So Toronado goes from vegan back to meat city with its food menu. I don't go there that often these days but I'd be sad to see them close.

They really seem to struggle with their kitchen now that there is crazy competition in the neighborhood.

No vegans going to Toro these days?

With full acknowledgement that I'm a huge homer for Toronado, I'm thrilled about the menu change. Anthem's food was awful. Funny business arrangement as it seemed that people would come in for beer and never order food, and a decent amount of people would come in for food and not order beer. Probably an anomaly since new things are bright and shiny, but last night was the busiest I've seen Toronado on a weekday in a while. No open seats at the bar and ~5-6 tables occupied around 7:30p. Ham/gruyere grilled cheese (add pickles) was good, bacon/fig/gruyere was too sweet and too much bacon for me. I also dislike bacon, so **** me, right? Cellarmaker, $4 aurora hoppyalis, and Brew 3k at $1/oz (if you smile pretty might even get a big pour) made for an excellent Thursday.
