I usually grab a "Chasing <whatever is on draft>" from Resident at the row of different brewery options on field level behind home plate area. Then, since my tickets are on Toyota Terrace, I walk over to the 394 bar on the first base side and see if they have cans of speedway. If no speedway, then I will travel to a pizza port location and usually get a pint of bacon&eggs. The pizza port location on field level behind home plate but towards 3rd base side usually has a slice and a pint deal...making it the best deal in the park, especially when they have B&E on draft.

Edit: And if I am downtown really early before the game, I will hit up Half Door and have a pre-game pint.

Came across this article the other day regarding the 'old' Depot Springs location in La Mesa that never came to be. Word is that it is in escrow and closing soon; linked article implies other breweries are involved still. Curious what will ultimately come of this project: https://lamesacourier.com/end-of-the-line-for-depot-springs/

"Dean is currently talking with several different potential buyers, presumably breweries, to purchase the property and, hopefully, bring his vision (or some semblance of it) to life at long last.

The good news for anyone else is that the path has been built,” Dean said. “All the issues I had are dealt with … So long as the [potential buyers] I am working with don’t try to increase the footprint, it will work great. I do think it’s 50/50 as to whether one of the other breweries we are working with would keep the entertainment to the extent that we had planned. Success, for now, is about having the capital to finish. I believe all the groups we are speaking with can make it happen.”

I have opinions but will keep them off public threads.

I will say they still owe lots of people money, though a small amount compared to others, my self and my wife included.

I know you guys don't feel like driving to the North Pole to hang out with me on 7/21, but make sure and hit your nearest Pizza Port for some of that Executive Member.

I'm more excited about this than just about any release from the past year-ish. Highlight of the anniversary party last year for sure.

Stay cool out there forum friends....if going to that MT anniversary bring a metric fuckton of sunscreen (unless you aren't melanin challenged) and that reusable water bottle. See some of you at the 2nd session where it begins to cool off basically right as it ends.

Well played weather...well played.

Really wasn't needed. MT did a bang up job of providing shade, fans, and water.

Agreed. Plenty of places to cool off a bit. This is always my favorite event of the year. Killer beers and a moderate crowd, at most. Never any sort of wait for anything, except for the line that started for Wizard's Blend. Not sure what that was all about since there were 30 other (or however many there actually were!) ridiculous pours to choose from instead. Can't wait until the 6th anniversary...

Glad to hear it went well. The long beer lines and lack of shade at this year's League party gave me pause about attending more events at that location.

Yeah, there was significantly more shade this year. Larger fans inside. A lot more tables and beer offerings as well. I think the longest line I waited in was 5 ppl right at the beginning to get that Maui wowie nectarnomicon (just the beer, not the slushie for me). The rest of the time there might have been 1-2ppl in front of me but plenty of employees behind the tables, getting beer into our glasses.
