Wow, after 6 months Wiseguy is done in their Igniter facility. Times are a changing...

HG Fenton is a developer, they're in the Igniter game to make money. I'm concerned that it's never been a sustainable model and the rent prices are so high that it makes it almost impossible for a new brewery to ever get out from under them. I know for a fact that multiple
Igniter breweries are struggling to pay bills at all. Unfortunately, I don't think Wiseguy will be the last.

I truly hope that anyone considering that route thinks long and hard about the intentions of the company they want to get in bed with.

What are the other ignitor breweries out there right now?

The eppig/san diego brewing/pariah all share one right? Same with Amplified (miramar) and Pure Project?

4 realz....

Edit: Checking out Wild Barrel today around 4pm if anybody else from "canada" is going.
LOL
What's Wild Barrel?

I took my kids down by yinz in Mexico today. We went to the swap meet and Pet Kingdon. And grabbed a few growlers from MT. Chilling at home now. This taste like all the other super hazy IPAs

"Dr." Bill's new brewery in San Marcos. They passed their last inspection and posted they would be soft opening today at 4pm on their FB page. Figure I should check them out since I went and split a membership already with a buddy.
Oh yeah... the one that wants to start a $300 club and nobody has tasted the beer!! FFS SMH

Red Barn is out at Lost Abbey. OH, C'MON!

They were pouring Ghost in the something sour and Devil Went Down to Georgia and the Adams Ave beer garden. Both awesome. Poured straight in to 2oz ramekins . Seriously. Those little salsa plastic deals at taco shops. That's what you get at that fest. ****. I should have saved one for one of your guys' next shares.

And Wild Barrel just announced that Preston, formerly the head blender at Cascade, is going to be blending their barrel program. Which is great news if you miss his work at Cascade.

Bill Sobieski & Preston. This is a major gain for San Diego beer. I'm very excited for Wild Barrel's future. The berlinerweisses I had there yesterday had me floored. I. Can't. Wait.

The beers were pretty solid all around. I think that Prince of Dankness and the Vice: Pink Guava were my favorites. I was hoping for the black currant one but it was still tagged as coming soon as my little group was leaving. They made the mistake of handing us the remote for their roku tvs in that little cave....oh that was fun.

Hopped over to Lost Abbey for a few tasters. Then over to Plan9 for some grub and beers (had Burgeon From Concentrate....I now believe this brewery will do well since the only other one I had was Treevana and was definitely not a fan), then of course ended the evening outside Peterson's.

Good times.
