NC did fall short of expectations. I liked it, and there was a good chocolately taste to it as it warmed up, but nothing earth shattering. For comparison, I think the flavors of M3 were head and shoulders above NC and it wasn't BA. I gave NC a 4 on Untappd

If you rank BL beers in public, especially at BottleLogic, you gotta rank high even if you don't feel it deserves it. Otherwise you will have not 1 but likely 3 beer gangs descend down upon you forcing you to change your score so that you don't adversely impact trade value.

A 3 could **** with someone's livelihood in that they can no longer trade/sell for as much as they needed to in order to cover rent for the month. =P

I think the lowest I've rated a beer was a 0.25 (yes, that bad). My comments just seemed more negative than they should as I was hoping/expecting it to be amazeballs. Also, I was trying to temper expectations as I saw a lot of 5.0's, which made me question if I was drinking the same beer as them.

NC is definitely solid, and not at a "lowly" 3.0-3.5 level. I think a 4 fits it pretty good.

Was at BL around 1pm. It's funny how that place is like a real live stereotype in the flesh. Fat neckbeards literally solo triple fisting pastry stouts, sweat beading up on their heads as they recommend to my wife in which order she should drink the FO variants.

Anyway, FOMO > FO (barely) > NC
They were all tasty af tho

Was at BL 12:15-2PM today and it wasn't too crowded especially if you were in the back bar/brewhouse. Dunno if it was flavor fatigue from the beers last night but the trio didn't blow me away. I think I'd rather have BA MP with Vanilla, so sometime soon a side-by-side will have to be conducted. FOMO had a ton of coffee to it which was nice, but covered up the vanilla. Once FO warmed up it smelled like straight ethanol. By far the farthest I've ever drove for a bottle pickup.

Hit Urge for the first time on the way back and that boar burger was solid.

I guess I should be excited about getting FO bottles, but I just opened a barely chilled bottle of Rye BAVSS today, and that beer seriously slays, even at room temp.

Whenever I visit TB, I just open all my alerts into new tabs. The past 24 hours I’ve had to check the tab title multiple times to make sure this wasn’t the LA/OC thread.

Sounds pretty bad to me but at least you got to try them all as you said. FOMO seemed like the perfect beer name to drive more hype surprised we haven't seen more use that yet!

Pretty much how I felt. NC and FO were barely that differrnt, with a teeny bit more chocolate in NC. I think FOMO winning in many people's opinion is because they love that coffee that was used. I think the coffee was so dominant that the base could've been almost anything. I think maybe having less coffee, or extra vanilla would've balanced it out better. All the beers were great, but I'm 100% happy to just have FO to go.

I have seen it joked about, but have never seen that happen for real. If this is a real thing, that's exceedingly sad & pathetic. I can't imagine anyone even attempting to post a vial for trade or sale without that leading pitchforks (i.e. page after page of yelling & memes).

I saw it wasn't bothered (edit: bottled) but the name just screams hype train to me. And he who shall not be named asked you if you got any vials. To quote Ian Malcolm "...shitlords find a way." Or something like that it's been a while since I read the book or saw the movie.

Friday I might swing on down there
