Hey Folks, cross posting this from the brewerania forum for folks who are interested in the Group glass purchase. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns and cheers!

Greetings all. I'm the founder of the Saison, Bière de Garde, & Farmhouse Ale Appreciation Society over on FB. We're having our 1st ever group glass buy. The Libbey glasses are 15.52 oz and made in Germany by the famous Spiegelau company, and have an etched field worker carrying a scythe (a saisonnier of course).

It's a pretty cool group of pro brewers, home brewers, and fans of the styles. It's good vibes only and trolling isn't allowed.

Cheers!

Mike Murray

Well hot damn I didn't even realize that was you!

Really enjoying this! Noise suggests a tart note, almost like an HF saison, but more traditional saison in taste - with just a touch a funk and tropical fruit on the finish.

California folks - what can you tell me about these guys? Should I trade for some of their other beers?

Yooo this is from my hometown. They don't have many bottled offerings yet, but everything I've had from them has been great.

Someday I'll have a brewery and bar devoted almost exclusively to saisons, but for now I have my basement, which now features eight saisons on tap, four of which are homebrew. Current lineup of tap handles (and also glassware of course!):

1. Saison Dupont
2. Ambrosia Dionysus #3: blended oak aged saison.
3. Saint Somewhere / Blaugies / De La Senne / Thiriez Fraternité
4. Ambrosia Lemon Guava: Petit Brett saison aged in oak barrels and then refermented atop lemon guava.
5. Ambrosia Demeter Auran: Saison with orange zest, rose hips, and citrusy hops.
6. Ambrosia Demeter Passsion: Demeter Auran refermented with passion fruit purée.
7. De La Senne Taras Boulba
8. Stillwater Classique

I also have a saison with lime zest, Nelson Sauvin, and Hallertau Blanc ready to go as soon as one of these kegs kicks.

I'm brewing up another 20-gallon batch this weekend so I'll be restocked before too long. This one will be traditional with pilsner and flaked wheat, around 30 IBUs from low-alpha hops, and small additions of Saaz and/or Goldings. That'll get fermented with Imperial Organic's Rustic (Blaugies) strain.

Where did you get those Dupont mini bechers? I have two and it's my favorite glassware but haven't found more.

eBay over the years. One of our local liquor stores has had at least one of those types lately. I can check to see if they're still there if you're really interested. If so, send me a message and I'll take a look tomorrow.

Global beer has them. I keep thinking I'll find some locally and haven't ordered any. Someone on here linked to their site when I was looking for Oerbier glasses. Good selection of current Belgian stuff with a few older glasses and some random schwag.

DanK shared these with a few folks including duckyboycantfly last week at our local brewery.

I'm not as familiar with Dorothy as some of the older saisons from Hill Farmstead, but it was really enlightening to try these side by side.

The Wine Barrel Aged version had a ton more earthy brett funk and light lactic tartness to it compared to the standard version, but had a lighter amount of carbonation that made it seem "heavier" on the finish.

The standard version was brighter and cleaner with more of the dry hop coming through and a dry highly effervescent finish.

Great stuff for sure and I highly recommend doing these two side by side if you are able.
