I like F&M and always happy to get their stuff in trades but I have not overall found them to be exceptional or "must have" kinds of beers, just solid. My guess is other people feel the same and it's not always easy to know when a particular beer from a merely solid/good brewery happens to be exceptional.

But yeah, anyone is free to send me one of these and get some ****** Wicked Weed beers or something in return.

I think I've only had one or two other F&M beers and thought they were solid but otherwise what you said. But this was an exception.

I think Doechter and Lunaire are their best, and I'm glad they seem to be able to release 300-900 bottle count bangers that last for a week... only problem is the $15 500mL pricing.

I liked this well enough. Really bready & bit sweet and lots of spices (Ginger was most prominent). Would bang again.

Tired Hands has no problem with that pricing....

I had my first Doechter the other day and wish I had more than one left. More funk than I find in most TH beers and really enjoyed it.

I drool over this thread all the time. So many beers out there these days, I can't keep up. I had a Blackberry Farms "Classic Saison" a few weeks ago with Bob, Blake, and Shawn at St Somewhere and was pretty floored. Simple and succinct, without out claim or gimmick. Saison is pretty much pilsner fermented warm afterall.....

I was in Seattle for the first time this past weekend and snagged one of these at a shop before going to visit to the taproom. This bottle was great and definitely the best out of the three other saisons I tried at Holy Mountain (which I thought were good, but nothing special).

Most recent batch. It's already fantastic with early signs of that typical Anchorage funk & tartness, but mixed in with the underlying classic saison esters. Gotdamn I love this beer. I just wish we could get it in Oklahoma.

I was in a weird "Well I just spent a bunch of money on BCBS and some other beers, so I should maybe take it easy" mood, so I only bought half a case. I'll be back in for more soon enough.
